In the heart of Kenya’s Central Highlands, home to the world’s finest coffee, lies Fairview Coffee Estate. This beautiful coffee farm with nearly 100 acres under coffee is situated 1,750 meters above sea level. The farm is irrigated by the Riara River that is in turn fed by streams from the Kenyan Highlands. Since the early 1900’s, Fairview Estate’s fertile soils have produced high quality coffee through the use of holistic production methods.
Triple Picked - Coffee is harvested by hand, and delivered on the same day to the wet-mill. Cherries are hulled and coffee is fermented in concrete pits for 12 hours. From there, they go into soaking tanks for an additional 16 hours to further improve quality. After the beans are cleaned they are once again graded. During drying, this coffee is sorted every two hours to allow for optimal humidity and perfect bean preparation.
Price is for 1 lb (16 oz/454 grams) of whole bean coffee. Ground coffee goes stale quickly so we don’t bother offering it. Our coffee is carefully roasted and bagged to order. Please allow time for custom roasting.
